• Use the reset hop: If an opponent is crowding your landing spot, tap backward to hop away. This gives you room to build forward speed and leap above their hands.
• Contest high rebounds: Jump early when the ball bounces high off the backboard. Catching the ball at the peak of your arc makes it nearly impossible for the opponent below to strip it.
• Body check to clear space: Crashing directly into the other player can knock them flat onto the floor, granting you a brief uncontested window to hop over and score.
